Squad get festive with BWFC Juniors

First team players meet and greet young fans at the club's annual Christmas party

Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman took his full squad of first team players to the BWFC Juniors Christmas Party on Tuesday evening at the Reebok Stadium to celebrate the festive period with young Whites fans.

The manager and his team first took their place on the stage to answer questions relating to the yuletide period and those in attendance heard David Wheater quizzed on how many reindeers he could name, Neil Danns revealed his favourite Christmas film, Chris Eagles named his best and worst ever presents and Marc Tierney disclosed what he really wants for Christmas!

Following on from the Q&A session Dougie and his players took their seats for a signing session where the BWFC Juniors members queued up to have their photographs taken with their favourite players as well as getting their 2014 BWFC calendars signed.

Throughout the course of the evening the children were also entertained with meeting Father Christmas in his grotto, festive themed games with mascots Lofty the Lion and Lofty Junior and music from former BWFC Juniors member REDD.

Speaking after leaving the party, Dougie said: “It was a brilliant turn-out this evening from so many of our young fans and I think myself and my players enjoyed ourselves as much as the children and it seems like everyone will be going home with a smile on their faces tonight and looking forward to Christmas even more.”
