Opposition watch: Yeovil Town

The low-down on Saturday's opponents from Somerset

Yeovil Town are next up for the Whites as they make only their second visit to the Reebok Stadium this weekend.

Currently lying third bottom in the table after one win and one draw in their opening eight games, the Glovers have experienced a tough start to life in the Sky Bet Championship following their promotion via the play-offs last season.

Having kicked off their campaign in style with an opening day victory over Millwall, the Somerset club have struggled since, suffering defeats at the hands of Derby County and Burnley amongst others.

Alongside their league woes, Gary Johnson’s side were also denied progression in the Capital One Cup after a penalty shootout defeat against Birmingham City back in August.

Saturday’s meeting is only the third ever between the two sides, with Wanderers running out winners on both occasions previously in the FA Cup and League Cup respectively.

Johnson will be hoping that his side can break that record when they make the trip to the North West this weekend, but will come up against a Bolton side keen to secure their first win of the season.

The Yeovil manager has undoubtedly strengthened his side in the summer with no less than 15 new arrivals at the club including the loan signings of experienced goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and promising Liverpool striker Michael Ngoo.

The former Northampton Town manager has certainly rung the changes around Huish Park following the team's Wembley victory back in May, with just six of the Glovers’ matchday squad against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday having been with the club prior to their promotion.
