Ref watch: Jones to take the whistle

18 September 2013

Confirmation of match officials for Saturday's game at Brighton.

Referee Michael Jones will take charge of Saturday’s game between Brighton & Hove Albion and Bolton Wanderers at the Amex Stadium.

Born in Chester, Jones has been refereeing since 1997 and has taken charge of three games so far this season, his last at Loftus Road where Queens Park Rangers beat Birmingham City by one goal to nil.

An experienced Premier League official, Jones last refereed a Wanderers game in January 2013 when Dougie Freedman’s men drew 1-1 with Sunderland in the third round of the FA Cup.

Ron Ganfield and Ian Hussin will run the line, whilst Oli Langford will be the fourth official.
