Bolton drawn away at Crewe in FA Youth Cup

Youngsters to face Railwaymen in fourth round of competition

Wanderers' Under-18s have been handed an away tie against Crewe Alexandra in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

Set to be contested on Wednesday 14 January at Gresty Road, the clash will see the young Whites take on Railwaymen after defeating Portsmouth 1-0 at Fratton Park in the previous round.

Responding to the draw, manager David Lee said: "Crewe have a good pedigree and it'll be a tough game. We’ve played them a couple of times and I think we still owe them one from when we lost to them a few years ago at Macron Stadium.

"We’ve come a long way since then and I think we can match them. I’ll go and watch them and have a look at them, and hopefully we have enough in our squad to beat them and progress in the competition."

The game will kick off at 7pm, with updates available on the night of the game via the club's Twitter account @OfficialBWFC and a full match report on the final whistle at bwfc.co.uk.

Ticket details will be confirmed in due course.
