First team's Christmas visit to Royal Bolton Hospital

Matt Mills, Lee Chung-Yong, Adam Bogdan, Rob Hall, Dorian Dervite, Max Clayton and Oscar Threlkeld visit children's ward

A section of the Bolton Wanderers first team spent their Thursday afternoons distributing Christmas presents at Royal Bolton Hospital.

The first team squad split into to three groups to visit Royal Bolton Hospital, Bolton Hospice and Derian House.

Matt Mills, Lee Chung-Yong, Adam Bogdan, Rob Hall, Dorian Dervite, Max Clayton and Oscar Threlkeld were all present to meet patients and staff at Royal Bolton Hospital.

The players were given a tour of the children’s ward before spreading some festive cheer to the patients and their families with a range of Christmas gifts.

“The lads really enjoyed their time at the hospital,” Mills said after the visit. “To be able to come down and put a smile on the faces of a few of the little ones is great.

“Hopefully it can help a little bit in what must be a really tough time for them and their family.

“What struck me was the enthusiasm that the staff put in to make it special for the kids.

“That rubs off on the kids and you can see that even though they are in hospital, they have smiles on their faces.”
