Squad get festive with BWFC Juniors

First team players meet and greet young fans at the club's annual Christmas party

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon took his full squad of first team players to the BWFC Juniors Christmas Party on Tuesday evening at the Macron Stadium to celebrate the festive period with young Whites fans.

Club captain Jay Spearing and new signing Eidur Gudjohnsen, alongside Neil, were just three of those involved in a question and answer session with the youngsters, before the entire squad took their seats for a signing session as the BWFC Juniors members queued up to have their photographs taken with their favourite players.

But it was not just the Bolton Wanderers players the children were queuing to meet, as Father Christmas made a special appearance on the night, greeting the young fans in his grotto.

There was also a bouncy castle and bucking bronco to entertain the BWFC Juniors members while the White Diamonds cheerleaders were also in attendance, dancing to entertain the crowd.

Speaking after leaving the party, Neil said: “It was a great turnout from the club’s young supporters, and it was especially nice to meet them all at the party.

“It’s clear to see that they are all looking forward to the big day and I’m sure I am not alone when I say that I left feeling very festive myself.

“The players, alongside myself, really enjoyed the evening – a lot of the children there come and support the team at games, so it’s always really nice to give something back and hopefully put a smile on their faces.”
