Tony Kelly joins Bolton Wanderers Community Trust

Former player to take up role of Community Ambassador

Tony Kelly has joined the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust as a Community Ambassador.

Having initially began his affiliation with the club as a player in a three year spell between 1991 and 1994, the former midfielder has since held various other roles for Wanderers including Fans Liaison Officer and assistant U18 coach.

"I’ll be working with the fans of the club from all walks of life and it’s something that I’m really looking forward to," he said.

"I love the football club – they’ve taken me into their hearts and I can’t wait to get going.

"Being a fan of the club myself, I love helping the supporters as I did in my previous role as Fans Liaison Officer and I’m really looking forward to getting started."

Phil Mason, Head of Bolton Wanderers Community Trust echoed Tony’s sentiments by adding: "He epitomises everything that is good about Bolton Wanderers and he shares the mission and values of Bolton Wanderers Community Trust. 

"He comes in at an exciting time for us and we are looking forward to getting him out into the heart of the community. 

"As part of his new role, Tony will help inspire, enhance and change lives of the wider community of Bolton as a positive role model and ambassador of the club."
