Loan players return to Bolton Wanderers

Players previously out on loan to return to the club

Following the conclusion of Keith Andrews and Craig Davies’ respective season at their loan clubs, the Bolton Wanderers players previously out on loan will now return to the club.

Andrews and Marvin Sordell spent season-long loans with fellow Sky Bet Championship sides Brighton & Hove Albion and Charlton Athletic.

Andrews helped Brighton reach the semi-final stages of the Sky Bet Championship play-offs, only to fall to Derby County over two legs.

In total, the Republic of Ireland international midfielder made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Seagulls, scoring one goal.

Sordell meanwhile featured in 35 games for Charlton, scoring eight goals.

The ex-England under-21 striker ended the season in impressive form, netting five goals in his last seven games, as the Addicks scampered away from the league’s relegation zone late on.

In League One Craig Davies spent the second half of the season with Preston North End, whose campaign also ended with a play-off semi-final defeat, with Rotherham the victors.

Davies played in 16 games for the Deepdale club, scoring five goals.

Tom Eaves made 25 appearances for Shrewsbury, scoring two goals, after initially joining in late November, with the Shrews were eventually relegated from League One.

On the other hand Josh Vela helped Notts County escape the drop zone, featuring in seven of their games towards the end of the season.

All of the players will now return to Bolton Wanderers ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.
