Service of Remembrance details

Full information surrounding the club's annual event held at the stadium

Supporters are reminded that the club’s annual Service of Remembrance will take place at the stadium on Tuesday 27 May 2014.

Starting pitchside at 6.30pm, the evening will be conducted by club chaplain Phil Mason and will include the laying of a wreath of flowers alongside the playing of the Last Post before continuing to the Platinum Suite for music, readings and a reflection.

During the course of the service, names of loved ones that have been inscribed in the Memorial Book or engraved on a Memorial Stone during the past twelve months will be read out, while all the names of loved ones to be remembered from previous years will be displayed on the big screen.

This year, there will also be a moment of remembrance in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War 1 with a special tribute to those involved in the Bolton team who were caught up the war.

Throughout the duration of the evening, people will be invited to come forward and light candles in memory of those who are no longer with us with light refreshments due to be served following the conclusion of the service.

Those wishing to attend will not require a ticket to gain entry to the service.
