Internationals: Medo starts as Sierra Leone exit AFCON

Lee Chung-Yong and Conor Wilkinson also feature for their respective countries

Medo Kamara completed 90 minutes as Sierra Leone saw their faint hopes of qualifying for next year’s African Cup of Nations ended by Ivory Coast.

The Leone Stars needed to win both of their remaining matches to stand any chance of qualifying for January’s finals in Equatorial Guinea.

However, despite heading in at the break with the scores tied at 1-1, Sierra Leone eventually fell to a 5-1 defeat, cementing their last-place finish in the group with a game left to play.

Elsewhere, Lee Chung-Yong came off the bench for the final 24 minutes as South Korea secured a 1-0 friendly win over Jordan, while Adam Bogdan was an unused substitute as Hungary claimed a 1-0 victory over Finland in their latest Euro 2016 qualifier.

At under-21s level, Conor Wilkinson impressed for Republic of Ireland as they lost 1-0 to USA.
