Jermaine Beckford loaned to Preston

Striker set to remain at League One club for the remainder of the season

Jermaine Beckford has joined Sky Bet League One side Preston North End on a short-term loan deal until January.

Once his initial loan deal expires in January, Beckford will then link up with Preston on a longer term loan that will run for the remainder of the season, including any potential play-off games.

The striker joins Preston, who currently lie in third position in League One, under manager Simon Grayson, with whom he previously worked with during his time at both Leeds United and Huddersfield Town.

Beckford has made a total of 51 appearances for Bolton, scoring 11 goals, since signing a permanent deal from Leicester City in the summer of 2013.
