Wanderers legend will join walk for final leg from Burnden Pie shop to Macron Stadium

Bolton Wanderers legend John McGinlay has confirmed he will be joining former team-mate and good friend Tony Kelly for the final leg of ‘Fifty for 50’ charity walk this Saturday.

Meeting at Burnden Pie shop at 10am, the duo will then make their way to Macron Stadium ahead of Wanderers’ clash with Brentford, with the walk ending at the BL6 fanzone at approximately 1pm

Supporters are encouraged to meet Tony and John at Burnden Pie Shop before walking through Bolton ahead of the match, while there is still time to donate on Tony’s Just Giving page which can be found here.

Tony is walking 50 miles to celebrate his recent 50th birthday with all proceeds being split between the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust, the Gary Parkinson Trust and the Hillsborough Family Support Group.

Setting off at 7am on Friday 24 October from his mother’s home in Huyton, Tony and the Community Trust will then visit both Anfield and Goodison Park before making the journey to Burnden Pie shop, before finally finishing up at Macron Stadium on Saturday.

Tony would like to pass on his thanks for all the support he has received so far, and is looking forward to seeing as many faces as possible at Burnden Pie shop on Saturday.
