Bolton Wanderers and Macron unveil third kit in support of Blesma

1,000 limited edition third shirts available for sale with proceeds donated directly to Blesma

Bolton Wanderers are proud to launch its new Macron-manufactured third kit for the 2014/15 season.

In support of Blesma, The Limbless Veterans, the club’s national charity partner for this season and to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, 1,000 limited edition military green third shirts are being produced. Each shirt comes complete with a special presentation box and £10 from the proceeds of each sale is being donated directly to Blesma.

The shirt has the words ‘Lest We Forget’ embossed on the reverse whilst also featuring an embroidered Bolton Wanderers crest and monotone FibrLec logo. The words from Laurence Binyon’s poem, ‘For the Fallen’ feature inside the neck label.

The limited edition shirt and presentation box will be available exclusively for season ticket holders to pre-order online only at www.bwfcdirect.co.uk from 10am Friday 26 September, on a one-per-season ticket holder basis until the close of business on Sunday 12 October. Any remaining shirts will then go on open sale on Tuesday 14 October.

The price of the shirt and box remains the same as the prices for the existing Macron home and away shirts which is £44.99 for adults and £34.99 for juniors.

The limited edition kit will be worn at selected away matches during the 2014/15 season.

In support of Blesma, there will be a bucket collection and other match day activities planned ahead of the home game against Derby on Saturday 27 September.

Barry Le Grys, chief executive at Blesma said: “We are delighted Bolton Wanderers have launched this initiative.

“Blesma formed in the aftermath of World War One with amputee veterans helping each other showing teamwork in adversity.

“Today, our Members face the realities of limb loss every day of their lives, but with support like this they will not be alone as they strive for independence and purpose. We are immensely grateful.”

Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron said: "We are honoured to be asked to contribute to the Blesma charity project through the provision of a custom-made shirt and presentation box and look forward to seeing the positive impact that this project will have on the lives of the limbless veterans that Blesma help to support”.

Phil Gartside, club chairman said: “Everyone at Bolton Wanderers is proud to be associated with Blesma and the incredible work they do supporting our limbless veterans.

“Our special thanks also go to Macron for producing another hi-quality bespoke shirt in support of this initiative.”
