Darren Pratley, Craig Davies, Andrew Lonergan and Oscar Threlkeld visit Derian House

Four Bolton Wanderers players visited residents and staff at Derian House Children’s Hospice on Monday afternoon.

Darren Pratley, Craig Davies, Andrew Lonergan and Oscar Threlkeld headed over to the Euxton-based facility after training to spend time with children, a selection of whom have a life-shortening illness, and their families.

Derian House is renowned throughout the region for being at the forefront of providing children’s palliative and respite care.

“It’s always humbling to come visit a place such as Derian House,” Pratley said. “The staff do a fantastic job here and the attitudes of everyone involved is a real credit to the company.”

Davies said: “Everyone was so welcoming to us and it’s great to see the reaction of the kids when we arrive.

“It was fun to spend time with the lads and to get to play a few games of FIFA. Everyone enjoyed the visit.”
