Neil Lennon hosts club's commercial partners at golf day

Manager, backroom staff and players present at event to thanks the club's commercial partners at Bolton Golf Club

Neil Lennon and a selection of first team players were on hand to thank the club’s commercial partners in a special golf day on Wednesday.

The event took place at Bolton Golf Club with representatives from FibrLec, Bolton at Home, Franking Sense and many more of the club’s partners lining up alongside Lennon and his backroom staff.

Tim Ream, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Ross Fitzsimons were also present, as well as the club’s goalkeeping coach Lee Turner and Head of Sports Performance Mark Leather.

After a shotgun start at midday, the event concluded with a spot of refreshments before a brief awards ceremony in the course’s club house.

A number of individual prizes awarded for achievements on a selection of the holes were handed out. Ream and goalkeeping coach Turner picked up a nearest to the pin and a longest drive award respectively.

Overall, the team event was won by representatives from Boss Office and Richard Threlfall Group, Myerscough College came in second place, whilst a team consisting of Lennon, Johan Mjallby, Garry Parker and Leather claimed third.

“It’s good to do this sort of thing,” the manager said after the event. “It’s important to have a rapport with our supporters at every level. We want this club to be successful and we can’t do that without our supporters.

“To have our commercial partners attend was great. It’s just a token of our appreciation for the support we’ve been shown this season.

“We’re looking forward to the games between now and the end of the season, and to a couple of other club events lined up as a show of our gratitude.”
