Rob Hall started as MK Dons beat Sheffield Wednesday to move out of the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone on Tuesday night.
The winger completed 70 minutes of their 2-1 victory at Stadium mk before being replaced by Ben Reeves, as goals either side of half-time from Carl Baker and Nicky Maynard fired Dons ahead.
Substitute Gary Hooper pulled one back for Wednesday, but Karl Robinson's side held on to clinch a valuable three points.
Elsewhere in the division, Liam Trotter was an unused substitute as Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 away at Blackburn Rovers on Monday night.
