25 February 2015

Jay Spearing and Medo Kamara also in action

Alex Baptiste was on the scoresheet for Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night as they hosted play-off hopefuls Norwich City at Ewood Park.

The defender opened the scoring for Rovers midway through the first half as he leapt highest to connect with Tom Cairney’s inswinging free-kick, beating goalkeeper John Ruddy with a powerful header back across goal.

However, Cameron Jerome levelled the scores in the second half, before Bradley Johnson snatched a late winner for Norwich with five minutes on the clock.

Jay Spearing also featured for Gary Bowyer’s side, lasting 80 minutes before being replaced by Chris Brown having been booked earlier in the game, while Baptiste completed the full 90 minutes.

Meanwhile in Israel, Medo Kamara completed 90 minutes for Maccabi Haifa on Monday night as they drew 2-2 away from home against Hapoel Tel Aviv despite twice taking the lead.
