Darren Pratley and BWCT present defib at Pikes Lane Primary

Midfielder visits local school's Easter fayre to help present defibrillator

Darren Pratley and the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust presented a defibrillator to Pikes Lane Primary School in Bolton on Thursday afternoon.

At the school’s annual Easter fayre, Pratley and Community Trust ambassador Tony Kelly met staff and pupils before taking centre stage alongside representatives from the North West Ambulance Service for a defibrillator demonstration.

Pratley was one of the players on the pitch during Fabrice Muamba’s cardiac arrest at White Hart Lane back in 2012, with community appearances of this nature taking on extra significance for the midfielder.

“I’ve done a few of these demonstrations and presentations now,” Pratley said after the event. “It goes without saying that defibrillators are really important things to have in schools.”
