Conor Wilkinson was Oldham Athletic’s matchwinner on Saturday as he came off the bench to score the only goal in the Latics’ 1-0 away victory over Crewe Alexandra.

Having entered the field in the 64th minute, the forward took just ten minutes to score as he side-footed home Danny Philliskirk’s lay-off inside the area.

Fellow Wanderers loanee Luke Woodland also featured for Oldham as the midfielder completed the full 90 minutes.

Elsewhere in League One, Jermaine Beckford completed 85 minutes for Preston North End as they were held to a 1-1 draw away at Barnsley, while Sanmi Odelusi was a half-time substitute as Coventry City lost 3-1 at home to Doncaster Rovers despite taking the lead.

In the Championship both Alex Baptiste and Jay Spearing completed 90 minutes as Blackburn Rovers lost 1-0 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Meanwhile in League Two, Tom Eaves was substituted in the 62nd as Bury came from behind to score a last-minute winner and secure a 2-1 home victory over Northampton Town.
