Midfielder set for international debut following call up to Guyana national team
Neil Danns has been called up to the Guyana national team for their upcoming friendly games against St Lucia and Grenada.
Danns, 32, has never been capped at international level and qualifies to play for Guyana through his grandfather.
Although based in South America, Guyana are part of the CONCACAF federation. The have never qualified for a CONCACAF Gold Cup or FIFA World Cup.
The two friendlies are due to take place at Providence Stadium, a 15,000 capacity venue in Guyana.
Danns will fly out to meet up with his new national team-mates in the coming days.
