U18s: Nottingham Forest 3-1 Bolton

Enock Likoy-Elumba on scoresheet as young Whites slip to defeat

Bolton Wanderers Under-18s conceded the lead to lose 3-1 away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The young Whites took the lead after 15 minutes as Enock Likoy-Elumba headed home Ryan White's cross.

However, Forest equalised after 35 minutes before Bolton were caught out by a long forward as the hosts took lead.

Pressing forward in search of an equaliser, the Trotters created several chances in their bid to level the scores, even one effort cleared of the line.

But, having thrown men forward, they were caught out on the break as Forest scored their third to seal all three points.

After the game, Under-18s coach David Lee told bwfc.co.uk; "We created several chances but just couldn't take them, though we were unlucky to have one cleared off the line and with a couple of other near misses.

"One positive is the performance of Under-16s forward Matthew Fearnley who did very well again and is getting more game time experience.

"Overall, with it being a top of the table clash, the players are disappointed with the result. However, there were some good individual performances and it gives us a platform to build on."
