International watch: Medo Kamara starts in Sierra Leone draw

Jamie Thomas and Conor Wilkinson also in action during September international break

Medo Kamara started for Sierra Leone as they face Ivory Coast during the September international break.

Facing off in their latest 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier, the Leone Stars claimed a credible point after fighting out a 0-0 draw in Nigeria – a result which currently leaves them bottom of their three-team group having played two games.

Development Squad striker Jamie Thomas was also in action for Wales Under-19s as they drew 1-1 with Poland at Bangor City’s Book People Stadium.

Elsewhere, on-loan forward Conor Wilkinson completed 45 minutes in Republic of Ireland Under-21s 4-1 friendly victory over Qatar before remaining an unused substitute as they beat Andorra 2-0 in their latest UEFA U21 Championships qualifier.
