Paul Rachubka signs for Bolton Wanderers

Experienced stoppers pens deals until end of the current season

Bolton Wanderers are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Paul Rachubka.
 
The experienced shot stopper has over 15 years’ experience in professional football and has put pen to paper on a one-year contract at Macron Stadium.
 
He started his career with Manchester United and has since been signed permanently to Charlton Athletic, Huddersfield Town, Blackpool, Leeds United, Oldham Athletic and most recently Crewe Alexandra.
 
The 34-year-old has also previously spent time on loan at a number of clubs, including MK Dons, Northampton Town, Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley.
 
During his career, he has won promotion via the play-offs on three separate occasions - once with Huddersfield and twice with Blackpool.
 
Although born in California, Rachubka moved to England as a seven-year-old and has represented the Three Lions at under-16, 18 and 20 level.
 
Rachubka has now agreed a permanent deal with Wanderers which will run until the end of the 2015/16 campaign, with the keeper set to provide competition for Ben Amos and Ross Fitzsimons between the sticks.
