U18s: Bolton 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Wanderers’ youngsters secure win over Nottingham Forest.

Goals from Jack Earing and Dennis Politic ensured that the young Whites extended their unbeaten run by defeating their Nottingham Forest counterparts by two goals to nil at Lostock in their final outing prior to Christmas.

Having taken control of the game from the first whistle, Nicky Spooner’s side were unlucky not to take the lead on the third minute. Cameron Moore forced a save out of the Nottingham Forest keeper following some clever passing from Whites.

The home side's dominance continued, and the visitors soon cracked under the pressure as Earing gave Bolton the lead after 15 minutes with his volley finding the back of the net.

Politic then doubled the lead just before half time, with the midfielder running the length of the field before calmly slotting into the back of the net.

It wasn’t all plain sailing for Wanderers however, with Cole Lonsdale being shown a straight red in the 55th minute following his tackle.

For the remainder of the game though, Bolton defended as a team, limiting Forest to shots from distance, capping off an excellent team performance with a clean sheet.
