Wanderers appoint Matt Barrass as head physio

Grandson of Bolton legend Malcom, Barrass follows manager Phil Parkinson in making the move to Macron Stadium from Bradford City

Bolton Wanderers can confirm the appointment of Matt Barrass as the club’s new head physio.

He joins the club from Bradford City, having held the same position with the Bantams, and is the latest name to follow manager Phil Parkinson in making the move to Macron Stadium.

Grandson of Wanderers legend and former England international Malcolm Barrass, who made over 350 appearances for the club between 1945 and 1956, he previously worked as an assistant physiotherapist at Preston North End, before joining Bradford City in July 2012.

Also a former player, Barrass started his career as an apprentice with Manchester United in 1994 before later enjoying stints with San Diego Nomads, Bury and Radcliffe Borough, only for injury to force him to hang up his boots prematurely.
