Wanderers to face Everton, Cheltenham Town and Blackpool in EFL Trophy

Confirmation of fixtures for EFL Trophy group stages

Wanderers have been drawn against Everton, Cheltenham Town and Blackpool in Northern Group A of the revamped EFL Trophy for the 2016/17 season.

Phil Parkinson's side will open their cup campaign at home to the young Toffees the week commencing 29 August, before facing League Two Blackpool at Macron Stadium in their second outing the week commencing 3 October.

The Whites will then travel to League Two Cheltenham Town for their final group game the week commencing 7 November.

Everton were one of 16 Category One academy sides to accept an invitation to take part in the competition, while two teams from each of the 16 groups will progress to the knockout stages. 

Order of fixtures:

w/c 29 August - Bolton Wanderers v Everton 
w/c 3 October - Bolton Wanderers v Blackpool 
w/c 7 November - Cheltenham Town v Bolton Wanderers

Confirmed dates and kick-off times will be announced in due course.
