Peter Reid departs

Club icon departs after interim coaching role comes to an end

Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Peter Reid’s role at the club has come to an end.

Club legend Reid, who made 261 appearances for Bolton during his playing career, teamed up with interim manager Jimmy Phillips for latter part of the most recent season.

Dean Holdsworth said: “On behalf of everyone at the club, I’d like to thank Peter for all his help and effort.

“It was a pleasure to be able to work with him and his opinions and values on the game are fantastic. He’s been great for the club and we’re delighted to have had the opportunity to work with him. He’ll remain a close friend of myself and club.”
