Ahead of the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust and Supporters' Trust's upcoming Legends Match at Macron Stadium, Community Ambassador Tony Kelly runs the rule over his former teammates from his three years with the Whites at Burnden Park in the early nineties.
Best Trainer – David Lee, the machine.
Worst Trainer – John McGinlay – he was a wooden horse!
Biggest Moaner – Alan ‘Albert Tatlock’ Stubbs.
Most Skilful – Alan Thompson.
The Joker – Owen Coyle and John McGinlay. We called them Laurel and Hardy!
Fastest – Me over ten yards, but David Lee otherwise.
Slowest – Alan Stubbs, but don’t tell him!
Worst Haircut – Super John McGinlay with his Rod Stewart do.
Least Intelligent – Trigger, aka Jason McAteer. The most intelligent would be David Burke. He used to come to training with a briefcase! He was a walking encyclopedia.
Quietest – Keith Branagan.
Vainest – Scott Green, aka Ken!
The Hardest Shot – Stubbsy with his cannonball foot.
The Hardman – Canvas McAteer with his boxing family
Best Dress Sense – Smooth Phil Brown. He was also the best dancer. As for the worst, Mark Winstanley, aka Mr Primark.
Best Music Taste – Andy Walker – he was a top DJ.
Worst Music Taste – John McGinlay and Owen Coyle because they loved the Proclaimers.
Best Nickname – Me with 'Zico' or 'Trigger' McAteer.
