U18s: Bolton 4-1 Hull City

Ryan White hits a hat-trick as the Whites' youngsters run out winners over the Tigers in their latest outing

Wanderers’ Under-18s comprehensively defeated their Hull City counterparts at Lostock on Saturday lunchtime.

Nicky Spooner’s side started the game well, playing some quick attacking football and created plenty of opportunities inside the opening stages.

Their efforts were proving fruitless in terms of goals however until the 25th minute of the clash when Jordan Grant crossed the ball for Jack Earing to finish at the far post.

The Trotters continued to dominate for the remainder of the first half meanwhile and arguably should have added to their tally, but their lead was just the one goal at the break.

In the second period meanwhile however, the Tigers equalised from a corner with the half only 90 seconds old.

Their joy was shortlived however as their captain was dismissed for violent conduct just minutes later.

Bolton’s man advantage proceeded to play its part in the remainder of the clash, and the Whites were back in front soon after as Ryan White ran onto Earing’s pass to finish past the goalkeeper.

Ten minutes later, White notched his second of the game when converting a superb cross by Grant and his hat-trick was completed after a good team move, with him finishing into the bottom corner to ensure that his side ran out comfortable winners come the full time whistle.
