U23s: Hull City 1-4 Bolton

Alex Perry, Chris Taylor and Alex Honeyball all on the scoresheet in emphatic Whites victory

An experienced Wanderers Under-23 team came from behind to claim an emphatic victory away at Hull City on Monday night.

Missing a number of second-string regulars ahead of Wednesday's FA Youth Cup first round tie with Blackpool, the Whites fell behind to a well-taken long-range effort at North Ferriby United's Eon Visual Media Stadium.

Responding well to create a number of chances, Bolton fought back to net a deserved equaliser as Alex Perry scored with a composed finish from inside the Tigers' penalty area.

Moments later the Trotters took the lead as Chris Taylor provided the final touch following good work from Jamie Proctor.

Taylor extended Wanderers' lead with a superb individual strike after the break, beating his man before shooting across goal into the far corner from 20 yards.

The midfielder then turned provider to set up the Whites' fourth, Alex Honeyball leaping highest to score from a corner.

Speaking to bwfc.co.uk after the final whistle, coach David Lee said: "With a few first team players in the squad, the tempo and desire to work hard was superb.

"All the players put in a fantastic performance and we created several chances.

"The performance was down to hard working players having a desire to compete both in and out of possession."
