Loan watch: Ben Amos helps Cardiff City claim local bragging rights

Conor Wilkinson also in action for Chesterfield

Ben Amos completed the full 90 minutes for Cardiff City as they came out on top in their derby clash with Bristol City on Friday night.

Facing off at the Cardiff City Stadium, a Peter Whittingham penalty opened the scoring for the Bluebirds midway through the first half before debutant Sol Bamba doubled their lead after the break.

And although Lee Tomlin pulled a goal back for the visitors, the Bluebirds held on to clinch a 2-1 victory.

Meanwhile in Sky Bet League One, Conor Wilkinson played 82 minutes for Chesterfield as they lost 1-0 away at Southend United - Adam Thompson scoring the game's only goal.

Elsewhere in the division, Tom Walker was an unused substitute as nine-man Bury lost 2-0 away at Rochdale.
