Midfielder scoops first accolade of the season for his efforts throughout the opening month
Jay Spearing has been chosen as Bolton Wanderers' KIA Player of the Month for August 2016 by the club's supporters.Figuring prominently throughout the opening month of the campaign, the midfielder took the captain's armband in the absence of the injured Darren Pratley and scored twice, once against Sheffield United and also versus Bristol Rovers.
Supporters voted for the award on Facebook, with the Liverpudlian collecting the majority of votes submitted.
Fan Kev Bumby meanwhile has won hospitality in the Platinum Suite for a game of his choice by voting, where he'll present Spearing with his accolade at an upcoming home game.
