Ref watch: Simpson to officiate Wanderers' trip to Middlesbrough

Jeremy Simpson will take charge of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship clash away at Middlesbrough on Boxing Day.

An experienced official in the game, the Lancashire-based referee has been involved in league football since 2008 and last officiated a Bolton Wanderers fixture when the Whites travelled to Villa Park back in September.

That day, he dished out four yellow and one red card to the Villans' Neil Taylor.

This season meanwhile, he has overseen 22 games in the Championship, League One and various cup competitions, doling out 92 yellow and five red cards so far.

Shaun Hudson and Steven Meredith will run the line, while Scott Oldham is the fourth official.
