Spearing and Morais visit Community Trust's half term courses

First team pair paid a surprise visit and spent time with the youngsters on the club's holiday courses

First team duo Jay Spearing and Filipe Morais paid a special visit to the club’s half term football courses on Thursday afternoon.

Usually held at the Whites’ Lostock base, the youngsters were moved to Macron Stadium due to adverse weather conditions where they were able to play small sided games, design their own kits and play FIFA17 on Xbox in the North Upper Family Stand.

And following their own training session, Spearing and Morais popped along to the ground to meet and greet the youngsters alongside get involved in their activities.

The pair signed autographs and took selfies with the children, even joining them for a few rounds of FIFA17 before picking the winner of their shirt design competition.

The courses, which take place every school holiday bar Christmas from 10am until 3pm, provide quality coaching for youngsters aged between five and 13 and focus on the fundamental skills needed as well as fun games, activities and small sided matches.

The cost is £50 for the full week or just £15 a day. Goalkeeper coaching is also on offer throughout the week, working on the key aspects such as handling, kicking, throwing and one-on-ones.
