Fabrice Muamba guest coaches at BWCT's Gifted and Talented programme

Fabrice Muamba was a guest coach at Bolton Wanderers Community Trust's Gifted and Talented programme last Thursday evening.

The former Wanderers midfielder made a surprise appearance at the session, with the youngsters - aged ten and eleven - given the opportunity to learn from a man who has been in their position previously and forged his own way in the professional game.

Currently embarking on a career in coaching after retiring, the 29-year-old helped out in the session which is attended by players who have been identified as stand-out talents in the Trust's various football courses.

Working alongside coach John Oliver, Muamba helped the budding footballers and honed his own talents as he works towards a career on the other side of the beautiful game, all while being filmed for a special documentary set to air later this summer.

Following the session, he took time to pose for photographs with the children and also signed autographs.
