The Northamptonshire-based referee has overseen four Whites matches in the past, the most recent being Bolton's 1-1 draw away at Charlton Athletic back in August.
A Football League regular having run the rule over his first professional fixture in October 2005, Mr Whitestone has controlled 34 games so far this season, dishing out 94 yellow cards and just one red card.
Matthew Parry and Neil Radford will run the line, while Martin Coy is the fourth official.
