Wanderers shortlisted for top industry award

Club's half-season ticket campaign nominated for the Sales and Marketing Award

Bolton Wanderers Football Club has been nominated for the Sales and Marketing Award at The StadiumBusiness Awards 2017.

The Club has been acknowledged for its hugely successful half-season ticket campaign, which saw them grow season ticket sales through a targeted and multi-focussed sales and marketing strategy despite being relegated from the Sky Bet Championship the previous season.

Wanderers, who are currently pursuing promotion back to the Championship, will be flying the flag for the EFL as they will be up against Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Eden Park for the prestigious award.

Launched in 2010, The StadiumBusiness Awards are the first industry awards for the stadium sector, by the stadium sector. With over 4,000 votes already cast, it’s your opportunity to get your club, venue or event recognised by the best in the industry.

BWFC’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Paul Holliday, said: “To be shortlisted for such a prestigious award alongside some of the top names in sport is a great testament to the hard work put in by all the staff at Bolton Wanderers and also to our fans who have backed us tremendously all season.”

The award will be decided by a judging panel on 22 June at Croke Park, Dublin.
