Tonight is our Annual Memorial Service which from the news we have woken up to this morning from Manchester has taken on a very different poignance.
Within our history at Bolton Wanderers we have known tragedy when 33 people lost their lives attending a Football Game at Burnden Park.
Each year we remember them as no one should have lost their life when attending a game.
No one should lose their lives attending a concert and our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families and friends who have lost their loved ones at Manchester Arena last night as well as those who await news of the injured and missing.
It is heartbreaking to think of those families with their children going through such horror and grief.
At our Service tonight we shall hold a minute’s silence for all those involved and those who have lost their loved ones, lighting candles for those who have died and remembering them in our prayers.
