Loan watch: Ben Amos helps Charlton to victory in seven-goal thriller

Ben Amos started for Charlton Athletic as they came out on top in a seven-goal thriller away at Oldham Athletic on Saturday.

The shot-stopper completed the full 90 minutes at Boundary Park as the Addicks clinched a 4-3 victory.

Two goals in quick succession from Ricky Holmes and Tarique Fosu-Henry saw the Addicks race into a two-goal lead midway through the first half, however goals either side of half-time from Craig Davies and Eoin Doyle saw the Latics level the scores.

Oldham were dismissed to ten men just before the hour-mark as substitute Ousmane Fane was sent off, with Charlton soon taking advantage of their man-advantage with goals from Billy Clarke and Joe Dodoo.

The hosts pulled another goal back through Jack Byrne late on but the Addicks held on to clinch all three points.

The Addicks are back in action on Saturday as they host Southend United at The Valley.
