Tony Harrington will oversee Wanderers' Sky Bet Championship clash with Bristol City on Tuesday night.
An experienced official having been involved in the game since 2008, the Cleveland-based referee will be running the rule over his tenth fixture this term.
Mr Harrington last took charge of a Bolton game back in March 2015 meanwhile when the Whites were on the wrong side of a 2-1 scoreline away at Leeds United.
So far this term, he has dished out 37 yellow cards and one red, while he issued 121 yellow cards and four red cards in 34 games last season.
Daniel Leach and Andrew Fox will run the line while Simon Hooper is the fourth official.
