Simon Hooper will officiate Wanderers' Carabao Cup trip to West Ham United on Tuesday night.
Taking charge of his eleventh Whites game in total, the Wiltshire-based official last oversaw a Bolton game when the Trotters opened their campaign at home to Leeds United last month.
Mr Hooper has manned eight games so far this season, dishing out 20 yellow cards and one red card.
Predominantly overseeing Sky Bet Championship fixtures last season, he ran the rule over 43 games including the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final, handing out 149 yellow cards and three red cards.
Adam Crysell and Akil Howsom will run the line, while Graham Horwood will be the fourth official.
