Keith Stroud will take the whistle for Wanderers' trip to Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend.
Enjoying his 15th campaign as a Football League referee, Mr Stroud last oversaw a Bolton fixture when Phil Parkinson's men travelled to Wolverhampton Wanderers back in November.
His last Norwich game meanwhile was the Canaries' 1-1 draw with Hull City in October of last year.
This term, he has taken charge of 23 games in the Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two, doling out 96 yellow and seven red cards to date.
Matt Foley and Billy Smallwood will run the line, while Trevor Kettle is the fourth official.
