Vote for your Bolton KIA BWFC Player of the Month for December

Voting is now open for Bolton Wanderers' KIA Player of the Month award for December.

Wanderers won three of their six matches throughout December to ensure goal difference was the only thing keeping them in the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone at the turn of the year.

Actually moving out of the drop-zone after opening the month by beating Barnsley (3-1) at Macron Stadium, back-to-back defeats against Nottingham Forest and Burton Albion saw them fall back into the bottom three.

However, the Whites responded with victory over Cardiff City (2-0), and although they lost their next outing away at Middlesbrough (2-0), Bolton finished the year in style by picking up their first away win of the campaign at Sheffield United (0-1).

Gary Madine was a man in form for the Trotters during December as netted four goals across Wanderers' three victories, including the Whites' winner over the Blades.

Elsewhere, Mark Little recorded his maiden strike for the club against Barnsley while Josh Vela bagged his first goal of the season in Bolton's victory over Cardiff City.

Meanwhile, with games coming thick and fast over a busy festive period, manager Phil Parkinson fielded 20 players throughout the month.

Rotating players to maintain fresh legs, Ben Alnwick, Mark Beevers, Darren Pratley, Karl Henry and Madine were the only players to start all six matches for the Trotters as Wanderers headed into 2018 with confidence high.

Fans are able to register their vote by clicking on the link below, while the winner of the prize draw will be picked at random and notified via email.

The club's Player of the Month will be announced in due course.
