COMMUNITY

Back in August, the club's community efforts for the season were kicked off by Dorian Dervite acting as a special guest with for a Kenyan football team who were staying at the Bolton Whites Hotel and training at the Whites' Lostock base.

Dervite was then joined by Derik Osede as he paid a visit to Thomas Cook's branch located on Manchester Road and the Trotters' old home of Burnden Park to celebrate the company becoming an official travel partner for BWFC.

Fresh from joining the club on loan, West Ham duo Reece Burke and Josh Cullen joined in with some of the Whites' older supporters at the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust's Fitter Fans initiative which is aimed at helping those over 55 to keep active.

Towards the end of the month, Will Buckley and Jem Karacan surprised youngsters taking part in the Trust's holiday football courses where they took part in a Q&A alongside joining in with the youngsters' small-sided games.

And finally, goalkeeper Mark Howard travelled to the home of Ben Griffin, a young supporter and budding shot-stopper who had been attacked by a dog, to put a smile on his face during a tough time for him and his family.
