Bolton Wanderers can confirm that defender Liam Edwards has joined Southport on a loan until January.
The 22-year-old, who signed professional terms with the club this summer, captained the development side to a Professional Development League national title last season.
The centre-back has now temporarily joined the Vanarama National League North side Southport on a short-term loan, linking up with fellow Wanderers man Marcus Wood.
