Bolton Wanderers chairman Sharon Brittan and CEO Emma Beaugeard recently met up with Forest Green counterparts Dale Vince and Henry Staelens at the New Lawn on a fact finding mission to view at close hand the progressive work the Nailsworth-based club are undertaking.
Prior to the visit, both clubs reached agreement over the Christian Doidge transfer which occurred under the previous ownership of Wanderers.
Sharon and Emma were given a guided tour of the New Lawn by Dale and Henry, who both talked about how Forest Green are embracing green technology at their stadium and providing vegan food for their staff, players and supporters.
Sharon said: “It was a pleasure to once again meet Dale and Henry and to be given a tour of New Lawn, a stadium we had never visited before.
“It was enlightening to hear their philosophies which are bringing success to the football club.
“We were also treated to a delicious lunch and had a wonderful time at the stadium.
“I’d like to thank Dale and Henry for their hospitality and wish them well for the remainder of the season.”
