Bolton Wanderers U18s were defeated by Sheffield Wednesday in their U18 Professional Development League clash.
Within three minutes, Wednesday were ahead as Eya Hammoud was the man to finish clinically for the Owls.
Just two minutes later and Andy Holdsworth's side doubled their lead through Liam Shaw as he stunned the Whites, latching onto the end of a Liam Waldock ball across the box to finish from close range.
Soon after, Wanderers found themselves three goals behind.
Wednesday's forward line of Hammoud, Vasalo and Hagan combined for the latter to find the back of the Wanderers' goal from close range.
Nicky Spooner's men managed to salvage a goal five minutes from the end, but it wasn't enough as the Owls took all three points.
