Furthermore, midfielders Thibaud Verlinden remains a major doubt heading into this Leasing.com Trophy tie with the Citizens, with Will Buckley ruled out.

Betting Odds

Manchester City U21s are the favourites heading into this one. The home side are fancied to take this one by Sky Bet and are priced at 11/10 at the time of writing.

Wanderers are priced at 2/1 to register a second victory of the 2019/20 campaign and you can get the draw at 12/5.

Man in the Middle:

This evening’s game will be officiated by Peter Wright.

He has officiated 12 matches this season with his latest a 1-1 draw between Port Vale and Stevenage in Sky Bet League Two.

This season, he has dished out 41 yellow cards and a single red card.

He has never refereed Wanderers before in his four seasons as a top-flight official.

Richard Wigglesworth and Kevin Mulraine will act as his assistants, with Billy Smallwood the fourth official for tomorrow evening’s fixture.

Key Man for City – Adrian Bernabe:

When looking at the Manchester City U21s side, 18-year-old Adrian Bernabe is the main man leading the line for Paul Harsley’s side.

The former Barcelona youth product joined City in 2018, who has also represented Spain at U17 level.

He made his first-team debut last year against Oxford United in the EFL Cup, where the Sky Blues ran out 3-0 winners.

This season, Bernabe represented the City U21s against Rochdale in the Leasing.com Trophy, where he got himself on the scoresheet in a 2-0 victory.
