Karen Haslam was over the moon when she found out she had won £2000 on the Lifeline lottery this month.
Karen, who has recently been poorly with Covid-19, received the news just as she was coming out of her isolation. What better way to celebrate than with a Lifeline lottery cheque for £2000!
We asked Karen how long ago she started supporting the BWDA and she replied: “It has to be around twenty years now. I joined to support my husband Trevor, who is a Goldline agent in the Blackrod and Adlington areas.”
Trevor has worked with us for many years, collecting from members at their doors and recruiting family and friends.
Karen said she was shocked and thrilled when she heard the news of her win from Trevor himself. It seemed only right that he be the one to deliver the exciting news to his wife.
Though Karen has not yet decided what she'll be doing with her winnings, we're sure her plans will involve Trevor too.
