The B Team continues its pre-season build-up with a trip to Southport tonight (Tuesday).
Matt Craddock’s young squad has started out with tests against Northern Premier League top-flight outfits Atherton Collieries and Bamber Bridge.
And after narrow 1-0 defeats on each occasion, the Whites now tackle opposition from National League North in the shape of the Sandgrounders.
Southport – who have beaten non-league neighbours Bootle and Marine in their last two friendlies – kick off their league campaign at Boston United on Saturday, 6 August.
The trip to the Pure Stadium will be the penultimate pre-season fixture for the Whites’ B team who complete their preparations for a first campaign together at Warrington Town on Tuesday, 2 August.
Kick-off at the Pure Stadium is 7.30pm with admission £10 adults, £6 concessions, £3 juniors (aged 12-17) and under-12s free.
